User Name and Password Rules effective Monday 1/14/2008

1. User Names and Passwords. All active users will be issued a new computer-generated User Name and Password. New User Names and Passwords will be available Wednesday January 9, 2007 but will go into effect on Monday, January 14, 2008. Users will continue to use their current User Names and Passwords until January 13, 2008.

These new User Names and Passwords will be available under each employee's profile in MHCB (MyHomecareBiz) starting Wednesday January 9, 2008.

2. Changing Passwords. A user can not change her/his User Name that is generated by MHCB. S/he can, however, change the computer-generated password. The password should be a minimum of 8 characters and contain at least 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter, and 1 number.

3. Retrieving User Names and Passwords. Only the System Administrator can retrieve user names and passwords via email. No user names or passwords will be given over the telephone. If an employee needs to retrieve her/his user name and/or password, s/he can call Technical Support and request the User Name and Password. That information will then be emailed to the System Administrator.

4. System Administrator. Effective 1/9/2008, an Agency can have only one System Administrator at any given time. If a System Administrator goes on vacation or is unavailable for any other reason, s/he can assign that designation to another person at the Agency. Assigning the System Administrator is performed by MHCB Technical Support only.

If you have multiple System Administrators at your Agency, please modify the authority levels before Wednesday January 9, so that only one person at your Agency is designated the System Administrator.

Make sure the System Administrator has a secure email address.

If no one, single System Administrator (with a secure email address) is identified by Wednesday, January 9, you can call MHCB Technical Support to have this information entered by MHCB staff. To ensure security of the System Administrator's identity, s/he must be ready to provide the last 4 digits of the checking account or credit card number on file.

5. Updating the System Administrator. When the name and other identifying information of the System Administrator needs to be changed, please be prepared to provide the last 4 digits of the checking account or credit card number on file.
